Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration/Type: Permanent/Full Time
Work Location: 1241 Strasburg Rd, Kitchener, ON N2R 0S1
Salary: $70,000 per annum; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal & Provincial income taxes & other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 32.5 hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• Participate in the design and planning of manufacturing processes, including system architecture and component selection.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flow diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Utilize software tools such as EPLAN or AutoCAD for designing and detailing hardware schematics and manufacturing layouts.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues related to process, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct feasibility analysis and cost estimation for proposed manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Support the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure successful manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field, with a focus on process optimization and automation.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing manufacturing layouts and schematics.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production challenges.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
