Job Description:
• Design, develop, and optimize PLC programs, HMI interfaces, and electrical control systems for automated manufacturing equipment used in automotive component production;
• Lead the installation, commissioning, testing, and validation of newly developed manufacturing automation equipment and production lines;
• Analyze manufacturing processes and production data to identify automation opportunities and implement engineering solutions that improve productivity, cycle time, and equipment reliability;
• Develop, review, and modify electrical control drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for manufacturing automation systems;
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, electrical control, and automation system issues to minimize equipment downtime and maintain continuous production operations;
• Engineer automation system improvements by integrating sensors, actuators, servo systems, industrial networks, and other control components into manufacturing equipment;
• Evaluate the performance of manufacturing automation systems and implement corrective actions to improve equipment efficiency, product quality, and operational stability;
• Coordinate automation projects with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure successful equipment installation and process implementation;
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies and technical standards for manufacturing automation equipment and provide technical guidance regarding PLC and electrical control systems;
• Conduct technical reviews of equipment specifications, automation system designs, and engineering modifications to ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality requirements;
• Prepare engineering reports, equipment validation records, operating procedures, and technical documentation for automation projects and continuous process improvement initiatives;
• Research, evaluate, and implement emerging manufacturing automation technologies and engineering solutions to enhance production capability and operational efficiency;
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or a closely related engineering field;
• At least seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing automation, including experience with PLC programming, HMI development, electrical control systems, automated manufacturing equipment, equipment commissioning, and production process optimization;
• Experience interpreting electrical control drawings and automation schematics;
• Experience diagnosing and resolving PLC, HMI, electrical control, and manufacturing automation system issues; and
• Experience implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, equipment reliability, cycle time, and product quality.
