Job Duties
Oversee and coordinate all store operations across multiple shifts, ensuring smooth workflows in food preparation, customer service, and store maintenance at all hours to maintain a welcoming and efficient environment.
Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and health standards, conducting continuous inspections throughout the day and night to comply with Subway and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels in real time, perform frequent stock checks, track ingredient usage across shifts, identify shortages or overages, and place timely supply orders to prevent disruptions in service.
Provide hands-on leadership to shift leaders and Sandwich Artists, ensuring all team members are trained, supported, and scheduled effectively to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation.
Lead onboarding and continuous training for new employees, delivering guidance and performance coaching to ensure high-quality service and adherence to operational standards.
Develop and manage complex employee schedules to balance labor needs across day, evening, and night shifts, accommodating staff availability and time-off requests while controlling labor costs.
Drive service excellence during high-traffic periods, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and promptly, and proactively address customer concerns and complaints to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
Track, analyze, and report on store performance metrics—including sales, labor efficiency, and operational productivity—using data to implement strategies that optimize performance across all shifts.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times, conducting regular inspections, enforcing safety protocols, and addressing any hazards immediately.
Conduct monthly inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare detailed reports for senior management, ensuring accountability and accuracy in a high-volume environment.
Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and operational excellence, setting a standard for the team to emulate and maintaining a positive, productive work culture around the clock.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in food preparation or food service establishment are required or Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline may lower the experience requirement to 1 year.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Passion for the kitchen and for producing great product every day.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work well within a team culture.
• A positive and team-oriented attitude.
• You must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods.
Benefits
As per BC Employment standards act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation annually or the option to choose 10 days of paid vacation annually with no vacation pay on each pay period. Free meals on work during the work hours.
