Manager, Restaurant Job

Overtime Sports Bar & Grill is seeking an experienced and dependable Restaurant Manager to oversee restaurant operations and provide leadership to our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing restaurant activities, supervising staff, maintaining inventory and food costs, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, coordinating events and catering activities, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring efficient, profitable, and high-quality service. Duties include:

Analyze and develop budgets to improve and maintain restaurant profitability.
Determine and control costs for food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate restaurant staff.
Prepare staff schedules and monitor employee performance.
Conduct performance reviews.
Cost products and services and maintain accurate inventory.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Negotiate with suppliers for food and other restaurant supplies.
Negotiate catering and facility-use arrangements with clients.
Respond to customer complaints and concerns and maintain excellent customer service.
Manage restaurant events and catering activities.
Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
Coordinate and supervise a team of more than 20 employees.

Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
Experience
2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
Required Certifications
First Aid Certificate
CPR Certificate
WHMIS Certificate
Safe Food Handling Certificate
