Job Description:
1. Cashier responsibilities including running customer credit cards to close out checks, providing customers back correct cash/change from cash payments, monitor customer’s open tabs to ensure all tabs are paid before customer leaves.
2. Customer service responsibilities including greeting customers, providing menus, addressing customer complaints per company policies, handling phone calls, ensuring all requested customer occasions are noted and celebrated.
3. Running payroll bi-weekly, ensuring any overtime is paid, coordinating with accountant on all calculations, and ensuring employees are paid promptly by check every-other Friday.
4. Printing daily reports from the Point-of-Sales daily sales reports. Ensuring that tips are properly calculated and provided to the servers on closing duty, ensuring the cash register is properly counted, and voided transactions are resolved and written down.
5. Keeping inventory of the tableware (plates, glasses, drink glasses, forks, and spoons), sushi, bar related items, and Jinbeh logo plates and ordering any missing inventory to ensure everything is fully stocked.
6. Receiving inventory and writing checks to vendors after careful inspection of the items received.
7. Preparing monthly reports including preparing the cash flow spreadsheet, monthly sales, bundling merchant signed copies for each date, calculating cash receipts, placing any surpluses in envelopes.
8. Making bank deposits when necessary.
9. Performing initial hiring processes including interviewing potential employees and ensuring they are properly trained and scheduled once final hiring approval is completed by owner.
10. Ensuring all equipment is properly working and scheduling required maintenance services for any equipment including soda machines, ice machines, alarm system, walk-in-freezer, and refrigerator.
