Job description

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing processing systems/types of industrial machines and supporting equipment.

Responsibilities:
• Identify the root cause of mechanical, plumbing and electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot, replace or repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Implement manufacture’s recommendations and company SOPs for all machinery.
• Maintain preventive maintenance as scheduled for machinery.
• Ensure equipment is safely performing to required specifications.
• Work with appropriate personnel if further attention on maintenance is necessary.
• Diagnose/conduct plumbing and spray system maintenance on schedule as required.
• Execute repairs as needed, fabricating, plumbing, or replacing components.
• Assemble, install, and test electrical or electronic wiring.
• Maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, fixtures.
• Work in a safe manner to protect themselves and co-workers.
• Identify unsafe conditions and corrects.
• Work with management to resolve safety concerns.
• Keep tools clean and in good working condition.
• Maintain an organized work area, clean and free to move in.
• In compliance with technical service repairs, follow food safety and biosecurity rules, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prefer additional trade or technical school education - maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical.
• Prefer 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Maintenance experience in the food, poultry or agriculture industry is a plus.
• Experience with safety/equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, PPE is a plus.
• Reading/comprehension skills necessary to follow SOP’s and other instructions/work details.
• Able to effectively and professionally communicate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, team oriented and moral character
• Detail-oriented in a in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends/holiday hours as required, based on production demand.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+lbs.
