Courtenay Return-It Depot is currently hiring a Maintenance Manager (NOC 70012) to oversee the operations and maintenance of our facility, including the recycling equipment and warehouse operations.
Job Position: Maintenance Manager (NOC 70012)
Job Type: Full-time
Business Name: Cowie Holdings Ltd. (o/a Courtenay Return-It Depot)
Wage: $48.55/hour
Working Hours: 30–40 hours/week (To be determined)

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the operations and maintenance of the Return-It Depot facility, including machinery such as conveyor belts, balers, presses, and forklifts.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff and/or external contractors responsible for equipment and facility upkeep.
- Oversee facility safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements related to operations and equipment.
- Manage budgets and expenditures for maintenance operations, including equipment repairs, parts, and contractor services.
- Maintain accurate reports and records related to facility operations, equipment maintenance, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with depot management on operational improvements and planning for facility upgrades or expansion projects.
Requirements:
- Completion of a college or university program in electrical or mechanical engineering or another discipline related to building/facility maintenance or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in maintenance operations.
- Several years of supervisory experience in facility operations or maintenance is usually required.
- Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
