Maintenance and Custodial Technician Job

Position requested:

· Maintenance and Custodial Technician for a fast-paced therapeutic services agency.

· This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Duties:

· General building maintenance and repair, light carpentry

· Ensuring the cleanliness of interior and exterior of facilities

· Grounds and equipment maintenance

· Complete or facilitate vehicle maintenance and repairs

· Respond to maintenance service requests, troubleshooting problems and making repairs

· Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment

· Complete minor construction such as shelving, replacing molding, replacing door locks, etc.

· Plan and oversee the relocation of equipment and furniture

· Follow all applicable department and practice policies and procedures

· Maintain patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice

Requirements:

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to pass a state and national background check

· Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation

· Two to five years of building repair, construction, or maintenance experience

· Experience with facilities maintenance or a similar role

· Experience with various hand tools and power tools

· Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to traverse uneven grounds

· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

· Maintain a pleasant, cooperative demeanor while performing all duties

· Experience with equipment maintenance, electrical, and mechanical skills are a plus
