Mailroom Associate Job

We are seeking candidates for a Mailroom Associate position. This role involves processing and sorting inter-company mail, distributing mail and packages, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving parcels and freight. The job requires walking, standing, and lifting for most of the 8-hour shift, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Assistance is available for heavier items.
Location: 3800 SE 22ND AVE, Portland, OR 97202
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate high-volume copying and document imaging equipment
• Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and freight
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including tracking and sorting
• Maintain office supplies and copier functionality
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication
• Handle administrative tasks, including record-keeping and report generation
• Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, and conference room setups as needed

Qualifications & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred (mailroom, shipping/receiving, or copy services)
• Basic PC skills and proficiency in MS Office & email systems
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Knowledge of print shop processes and terminology is a plus
• Experience in customer service (not call center) is beneficial
