Machine Operator Needed – Open Position
The Platte City Special Road District is accepting applications for a full time Road Maintenance Technician/Machine Operator. Responsibilities include the operation of road machinery, including tractors, wheel loaders, back hoes, mini excavator and skid steer equipment. Position requires maintaining the right-of-way, posting signs and repairing equipment.

Applicant must enjoy working with the public and responding to after hour emergency events. Applicant must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, background check and submit a high school diploma or G.E.D. Hold or secure, within 90 days of employment offer, a Class “B” CDL w/Air Brake endorsement. Experience in engine repair, welding, road construction, and heavy machinery is preferred.
