Job Description:
• Make adjustments to process variables
• Set up and adjust processing machine
• Maintain shift log of production
• Perform corrective machine adjustments, including adjustments to the feather picker to ensure effective feather removal without damaging carcasses
• Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Record production information
• Clean machines and immediate work areas, including thorough cleaning of the feather picker to ensure sanitary operation
• Identify, control, and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process, including monitoring for safety risks around rotating equipment like the feather picker
• Inform the manager of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities
• Assist with maintenance issues and limit downtime, particularly resolving issues with feather picker performance or rubber finger wear
• Check products to ensure conformance to company standards and clear machine blockages as required
• Record production information such as quantity, weight, size, date, and type of products packaged
• Perform corrective machine adjustments, clean machines and immediate work areas
• Other assigned duties
Salary: $26.40 hourly, 40 – 45 Hours per week

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food and/or beverage processing sector is required, if candidate does not have at least 1 years of experience, a college certificate or other specialized training in technical or maintenance background
