Position Title: Machine Learning Engineer III
Location: 179 South Street, Floor 5, Boston MA 02111
Position Responsibilities: Become a core member of the company and execute on ambitious milestones, taking ownership of projects. Work closely with the leadership team within a highly collaborative company culture. Own the design and implementation of infrastructure for reliable and highly performant machine learning and analytics pipelines. This includes building scalable systems for training, evaluating, and deploying models in production, contributing across the full ML lifecycle, from data ingestion and preprocessing to model inference and monitoring. Focus areas include the development of: Detection and characterization models using computer vision on dental images, derived models and post-processing layers that integrate predictions to give patient-level insights, robust labeling and sampling systems, and metric pipelines and slice-based analysis to track performance across diverse patient populations. Play a critical role in defining and executing processes for managing large amounts of data, defining data sampling approaches and performance evaluations. Collaborate with researchers, physicians, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with company advisors whose expertise span machine learning, medical imaging, and getting products successfully through FDA. Contribute and grow your technical skills by building end to end highly impactful software medical devices that will ultimately impact the lives of millions of people.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: deep learning models for segmentation/classification using medical imaging; Python; SQL; typescript; PyTorch; scikit-learn; OpenCV; PIL; pydicom; matplotlib; seaborn; SHAP; Grad-CAM; AWS; Fast API; Kubernetes; PostgreSQL; Snowflake; MongoDB; OpenAI API; Git; GitHub; Slack, and; SaMD principles. Required knowledge may be acquired prior to, or concurrent with, Master’s degree. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S., approximately 30as required. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
