Job Description:
Oneida County is accepting applications to fill two LTE (Limited Term Employee) Peer Recovery Coach positions with the Human Service Department at the Timber Drive location. Oneida County Human Service is a Trauma Informed Agency that empowers, educates and supports agency staff to provide services in a caring, compassionate and safe environment.
JOB DUTIES: This position promotes and supports individual and population recovery outcomes through peer-to-peer, one-on-one contact, assisting with coordination of services and community advocacy. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary Community Response Team that aims to enhance coordination of health and safety efforts to support substance abuse recovery in Oneida County.
WAGES, WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: This position pays $15.08 per hour, working up to 29 hours per week. Position works primarily weekdays but would need to be occasionally available for evenings and weekends as needed. No benefits are offered with this position.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individuals must be at least 18 years old, have a high school degree, GED or HSED, have a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DMV check. The ideal candidate must have one of the following: be in recovery for at least 12 months OR have had experiences related to recovery or substance misuse. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Candidates should be organized, self-motivated, have excellent computer skills, and the ability to observe a high level of confidentiality.
