Candidates must have great attention to detail and handle sitting for prolonged hours in a physically demanding work environment

Specific Skills

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Transportation/Travel Experience
Long Haul

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

• Company will be paying $550 of safety bonus to all the drivers who keep their record clean throughout the year.
