Positions: 8 positions available
Salary: $36.00/hour for 30 to 60 hours per week
Job Location(s): Various Locations throughout Canada and the USA with based at 60819th Avenue Nisku Alberta T9E 7W1
Job Duties
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading of goods.
• Plan travel schedules and routes
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
Job Requirements
• Experience: No experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Credentials required: Class 1 or A Driver's Licence and Air brake endorsement
• Education: No formal education required
• Ability to communicate in English is must
• Basic security clearance, criminal record check, medical exam, drug test may be required
• Available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required
• Willing to travel cross-border
• Willing to travel for extended periods
• Willing to travel overnight
Benefits

• $1,000.00 signing bonus to those drivers who are willing to sign a 2 year contract.
