long haul truck driver Job

Ott Transportation Services Inc. located at 8952 Holt Road, Surrey BC, V3V 4H2, Canada is seeking to hire 6 full-time Long Haul Truck Drivers to join their team. The job is permanent and the qualified employees will be paid hourly at the rate of $34.62 for 40-60 hours per week. The candidates who wish to apply should have Secondary (High School graduation) Certificate, and should be able to communicate in English. There is no experience required, training will be provided by the Employer. Moreover, job requires qualified candidate to work early mornings, evenings, day, shift, weekend, night, and overtime.

Job Requirements:
Furthermore, the work location includes various locations, and requires candidate to travel throughout Canada and the US.

-Certificates, License, Memberships, and Courses Requirement: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).

-Type of Trucking and Equipment :Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer.

-Tools/Equipment requirement: Cellular phone, Steel-toed safety boots.

-Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player
-Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Trip reports.

-Tasks Requirement: Load and unload goods, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

-Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Sitting.

-Other: Operate units, Hauling Freight throughout Canada/US.
