Job Description:
1034010 BC Ltd. dba Candora Transportation located at 7731 126A Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 6Z9 is looking for
3 Long Haul Truck Drivers.
Duties:
1. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, weighing over 4600 kg with three or more axles, to transport goods and material to destinations.
2. Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.
3. Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
4. Perform emergency roadside repairs.
5. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
6. Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in logbook or on on-board computer.
7. Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers using two-way radio, cellular telephone, and on-board computer.
8. May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
9. May required to complete forms and legal documentation according to rules and regulations.
10. Other duties as requested by management.
Job Requirements:
1. Secondary school education required
2. No experience driving trucks is required, we will provide on-job training
3. Should be eligible for Class 1 Drivers License
4. Basic English required.
5. Must have willingness to travel for longer time period
Location: Will be Travelling all over Canada
Salary: $37.50/hr for 60Hrs/week.
