Wage: $36.60 per hour (35 to 40 hours per week)

Job Requirements

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Valid Class 1 or A Driver’s Licence
- Air Brakes Endorsement

Work Conditions
- Will train
- On-site position (no remote work)
- Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Long-haul, regional, national, and international travel required

Job Duties

- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

- Plan and adjust routes using GPS and navigation systems

- Load and unload goods

- Inspect vehicle condition including tires, lights, brakes, and equipment

- Maintain accurate records of cargo, mileage, fuel use, and hours of service

- Communicate with dispatch

- Ensure safety and security of cargo, including tarping

- Transport and handle dangerous goods

- Experience and Skills

- Knowledge of bills of lading, inspection reports, trip reports, and maintenance records

- Experience with straight trucks and tractor-trailers

- Ability to operate GPS and navigation equipment

Security and Safety

- Driver’s abstract required
- Drug testing required
