Job Description
Duties to be performed:
• Drive and operate an articulated truck to transport goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading goods.
• Willing to travel for extended periods.
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan travel schedules and routes.
• Oversee the condition of vehicle and inspect the tires. Lights brakes and other equipment, perform brake adjustments.
• Arrange and carry all required permits and paperwork for cross-border freight transport.
• Regular communication with the dispatcher, other drivers, and clients to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Drive long routes with a partner when required.
