Specific Skills/Job Duties
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs,• Perform brake adjustments,
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,• Perform preventive maintenance,
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption,
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle,
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment,
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
•Ensure that all documentation and permits are in order when driving interstate routes

Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: No experience. On the Job Training will be provided.
License/Certification/Registration: Class 1 or A with Air Brake Endorsement is required or license equivalent to Class1Communication Systems
Experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Trip recorder (on-boardcomputer)Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Benefits Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, and WCB registration. Overtime rate of 1.5 times the regular is applicable after60 hours per week. 4% vacation pay of the gross salary or 10 days ofpaid vacation.
