Wage: $36.75 per hour for 40 hours/week

Job Requirements:
Language: English
Education: Completion of secondary (high) school
Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a truck driver

Job Descriptions. This position can involve many different tasks, including but not limited to:

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Professionalism in customer service
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and comply with safety procedures for the transportation of goods.

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
