Long-Haul Truck Driver Job

Storageplex Limited, located at 1520 Turvey Road, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4N 2G7 requires 5 long-haul truck drivers on a permanent full-time basis.

Wage: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
Hours - 40 per week
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Credentials: Driver's License (Class 1 or equivalent)
Experience: No experience is required, but experience of at least 7 months is preferred. Suitable applicants without experience must go through a 90-day training program after being hired, and the driving test must be passed before commercial driving is permitted on the road.

Job duties of Long-Haul Truck Drivers:

1. Must be licensed and able to drive a tractor/trailer in a safe and proficient manner
2. Responsible for inspecting the vehicle to ensure it is in proper operating condition, fueled and ready for dispatch
3. Completion of required internal and compliance paperwork
4. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
5. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
6. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as
with company policies and procedures
7. Use on board computers and communication devices to contact dispatcher and other drivers.
8. Collect and verify delivery instructions
9. Report accidents or violations in timely manner.
10. Any other relevant task.
