• Location: Edmonton, AB, T6E 5E8
• Work location: On site
• Salary: $36.50 hourly / 35 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment & Full time (Early morning, Evening, Flexible hours, Morning, Night, On call, To be determined, Day, Weekend, Overtime required)
• Starts as soon as possible
• Vacancies: 4 vacancies

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
• Work setting: Willing to relocate
Tasks
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Credentials and other requirements:
• Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
• Experience and specialization: Documentation knowledge, Accident or incident reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
• Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer
• Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul
• Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel cross-border
• Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Sitting
• Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Personal suitability: Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player
