Position: Long Haul Truck Driver (B-Train Driver)
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $36.00–$39.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Bumba Transportation Ltd. is a transportation company based in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in freight transportation and logistics services across Western Canada. We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable B-Train Truck Driver to join our growing team.
Job Duties:
• Operate and drive B-Train trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently
• Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer, and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over long distances
• Operate vehicles equipped with 18- speed manual transmission
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation for transporting goods
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage systems
• Ensure cargo is properly secured according to safety requirements and transportation regulations
• Transport dangerous goods in compliance with applicable safety procedures and regulations, when required
• Obtain special permits and other documents required for interprovincial cargo transportation
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Administer bills of lading and maintain electronic or written logbooks
• Operate and maintain electronic logging devices (ELD)
• Experience transporting oversized loads and coordinating with team members to ensure safe road operations and secure cargo transportation
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers using communication devices and on-board computer systems
• Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required
Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
• Air Brake (Q) Endorsement
• Minimum 2-3 years of long-haul experience operating B-Train commercial vehicles preffered
• Clean driving abstract and strong safety record
• Ability to drive long distances and work flexible schedules
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of transportation safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to drive in mountain, winter, and adverse weather conditions
• English communication skills for safety and documentation purposes
Assets:
• Experience with long-haul transportation
• Experience operating oversized loads
• Completion of transportation safety training including:
o TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)
o WHMIS
o Hours of Service Training
o Cargo Securement Training
o Daily Pre-Trip Inspection Training
