Job Description:
Operate tractor-trailers to transport goods across Canada and the United States.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while following company protocols and road regulations.
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, etc.).
Ensure cargo is properly secured and handle reefer temperature checks (if applicable).
Maintain accurate logbooks, trip reports, inspection records, and border crossing documentation.
Communicate with dispatch regarding trip progress, delays, or incidents.
Follow CTPAT/PIP compliance and safety procedures.
Deliver goods safely and on time to clients, ensuring professional customer interaction.
Handle border crossing documentation and procedures for U.S. loads.
Adhere to Hours-of-Service regulations and all transportation laws.
Perform basic maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues promptly.
