Seekers Fisheries (4375955 Nova Scotia Limited) is a lobster distributor in Upper Port La Tour, Nova Scotia. We buy fresh lobsters directly from local fishermen/women off their boats and sell them to Ontario, Europe and Asia. Our philosophy is to provide customers with direct and high-quality lobsters globally with our worry-free logistics standards.
The Logistics Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing and supervising the activities of our logistics workers and ensuring the timely distribution of our seafood products.

Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Job Type: Permanent and full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours of work per week

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
Benefit: Two weeks of vacation pay
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage the daily activities of workers in the logistics department and work with third-party truck drivers and logistics companies
2. Ensure all workers follow company policies and procedures and are in compliance with health and safety regulations
3. Maintain and update documents of global and domestic shipping, inventories, purchase orders, receipts
4. Prepare reports and attend meetings with the management and adjust inventories as needed
5. Process requisition forms to request supplies for the logistics department
6. Monitor computer and machine operation, and arrange maintenance and repair for logistics equipment, machines and electronic devices
7. Assign tasks to workers, evaluate work qualities, monitor worker performance and conduct worker performance evaluations
8. Resolve workplace conflicts and problems, and make suggestions to the management to improve processes that require immediate attention
9. Provide training for department workers in performing their duties and improving work skills

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of college diploma
2. Minimum of three years of experience as a Logistics Supervisor or other highly related supervisor positions
3. Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, proactive
