A Logistics and Transportation Planning Specialist is needed in Valley, Alabama.

• Analyze logistics data and transportation processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Maintain and update logistics databases, ensure accurate tracking of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation costs, and prepare reports on logistics performance metrics.
• Coordinate transportation plans to optimize routing, reduce fuel consumption, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Forecast transportation demand and capacity needs based on market trends, seasonality, and company growth plans.
• Identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies in freight and delivery routes.
• Monitor the flow of goods from origin to destination using web-based logistics systems and GPS tracking tools.
• Interpret logistics data related to availability, reliability, and distribution to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and distribution teams to coordinate multi-modal transportation and logistics strategies.

Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in logistics or transportation planning.
