Logistics and Materials Specialist Job

Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:
• Lead the planning, coordination, and management of inbound and outbound materials to support uninterrupted automotive seat manufacturing operations under Just-in-Time (JIT) production environments.
• Oversee and optimize logistics and materials management processes utilizing SAP ERP, including Material Management (MM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Warehouse Management System (WMS), to ensure inventory accuracy, traceability, and production continuity.
• Analyze production schedules, material demand forecasts, and inventory levels within SAP ERP systems to proactively identify risks, shortages, and inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to align materials availability with production requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor, verify, and manage Bills of Materials (BoMs) for production orders to ensure accuracy, cost efficiency, and compliance with customer specifications.
• Manage procurement-related logistics activities, including supplier coordination, shipment scheduling, freight terms, and regulatory compliance, to support cost-effective and timely material delivery.
• Evaluate and improve logistics workflows, inventory transfer processes, and daily closing procedures to minimize errors, delays, and administrative workload.
• Utilize advanced reporting and data analysis tools within SAP ERP to monitor logistics performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and support management decision-making.
• Review market trends, material cost fluctuations, and supply chain conditions in the automotive parts industry to maintain competitive logistics strategies and operational efficiency.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and materials planning, including automation, system optimization, and process standardization across operations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with at least two years of experience in logistics, materials management, or production control, preferably in the automotive parts manufacturing industry
