Job Description:
Best Services International Freight Canada is seeking a dynamic and organized Logistics Supervisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations to ensure efficient transportation, distribution, and storage of goods. You will play a vital role in supporting our company's supply chain objectives while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, transportation, and warehousing
Coordinate and schedule the movement of goods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Supervise, train, and provide guidance to logistics personnel, including warehouse workers and drivers
Monitor inventory levels, process orders, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of shipments
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with transportation and shipping regulations and safety standards
Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and clients to resolve any logistical challenges or discrepancies
Prepare and maintain reports on logistics activities and performance metrics
Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain processes

Completion of secondary education (a post-secondary diploma in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred)
Experience in supervising logistics operations, including managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory control
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
1 year of relevant work experience in related field is required.
