Title of Position: Logging Machinery Operator (NOC 8241 / 83110)

Job Duties:
• Operate Treelength forwarder, log processor, feller buncher, feller forwarder.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• Operate two-way radio.
• Perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Drive vehicle.
• Write daily basic progress reports.
• Assist other logging and forestry workers.
• Assess site and terrain and drive heavy equipment to perform a combination of felling, slashing, bucking, bunching, and forwarding operations.
• Operate a variety of machines which perform a combination of slashing, bucking, chipping, sorting, and loading logs or trees.
Skills Required:
• Physically demanding.
• Manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail.
• Hand to eye co-ordination.
Experience Required:
• Experience is an asset.
Education Required:
• No formal education requirements.
Wage & Hours: $28.39 per hour
• Number of hours per day: 11
• Number of days per week: 4
• Number of hours per week: 44
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 44
• Shift rotation (as applicable): day and night shifts.
