Loden Hotel is hiring a F/T Building Maintenance Supervisor. Job

Position Info:
• Position: Building Maintenance Supervisor
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.50/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Job Duties:
• Supervise and coordinate hotel maintenance staff and outside contractors carrying out routine repairs, preventive maintenance and building improvement work
• Plan and assign daily maintenance activities and preventive maintenance work orders to ensure guest rooms, common areas and building systems are properly maintained
• Inspect completed maintenance work and monitor the condition of hotel equipment and building systems to ensure required maintenance standards are met
• Provide guidance and on-the-job instruction to maintenance staff on repair procedures, safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment
• Coordinate the servicing, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, fixtures, doors, windows, lighting and other building components
• Arrange and oversee external service contractors when specialized or major repairs are required and follow up on the completion of contracted work
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules, equipment service records and daily work orders, and prepare maintenance reports and records as required
• Assess maintenance requirements and estimate the materials, parts, equipment and other resources required for repair and maintenance projects
• Monitor inventories of essential tools, replacement parts and maintenance supplies, and arrange for additional materials and equipment when required
• Ensure maintenance activities and work areas comply with occupational health and safety requirements and established hotel safety procedures
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues, safety concerns and building-related emergencies, and coordinate appropriate corrective action
• Oversee the upkeep of guest rooms, common areas and exterior areas, including minor repairs, painting, pressure washing and seasonal grounds maintenance when required

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience under supervision is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
