is in need of Livestock Labourer (NOC 85100)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-Time
JOB DUTIES:
1. Feed and medicate birds and hogs.
2. Monitor feed, water, illumination, and ventilation systems.
3. Vaccinate via drinking water, injection, or dusting of air.
4. Inspects poultry and hogs for diseases and remove weak, ill and dead livestock.
5. Recognize, report and treat certain livestock health problems.
6. Confer with farm manager to ascertain production requirements and to discuss equipment status.
7. Performs maintenance and cleaning of barns and equipment.
8. Ensure proper records are completed and submitted appropriately for hog and chicken barns.
9. Follow bio-security protocol and safety standards.
10. Prepares feed consumption and mortality reports.
11. Perform other general farm duties as assigned.
WORKING HOURS: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; work between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; working hours may vary depending on stage of production and season; 2 varied days off per week
WAGE: $17.60 per hour
WORK LOCATION: various barn locations in Thedford, Ontario, Canada N0M 2N0
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education – No formal education is required
2. Work Experience – Previous experience is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate
3. Must be physically fit and prepared to lift 50 lbs or more
