Live-in Caregiver - Senior Job

I am looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated MANDARIN speaking caregiver to provide personal care and companionship for an elderly individual in a private home setting. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for senior care and the ability to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Position: Live-in Caregiver - Senior (NOC 44101)
Terms of Employment: (30-35 hours per week)
Hourly wage: $21-$22
Expected start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Northwest, Calgary, AB, Canada
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide companionship, emotional support, through regular conversation and engagement
• Assisting with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
• Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders with administration
• Accompany the client to appointments, walks, or errands
• Perform housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a clean environment
• Monitor and report any changes in client’s health, behavior, or emotional condition
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school education
• 1 to less that 7 months of experience in home care or senior care
• Fluency in Mandarin is required
• No criminal record and medical issues
• Must be exceptionally patient, calm, and dependable
• Positive and caring attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility
• Physically capable of caregiving duties, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
• Comfortable preparing Eastern Asian cuisine when requested
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Weekend ability is required
