Overview

Amandeep Grewal is seeking a qualified and compassionate Live-in Caregiver for Persons with Disabilities to provide full-time care and support in a private home in Brampton, Ontario. The work must be performed at the employer’s/client’s home. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

The caregiver will provide personal care, companionship, and daily living support. Duties include administering bedside and personal care, assisting with bathing and personal hygiene, assisting with regular exercise such as walking, feeding or assisting with feeding, preparing and serving nutritious meals, cooking, laundering clothing and household linens, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and supporting the client’s daily care needs.

Credentials

Preference may be given to applicants with the following certificates:

Acquired Brain Injury Certificate
Applied Behaviour Analysis Certificate
CPR Certificate
First Aid Certificate

Experience and Specialization

Experience with persons with disabilities is required. Experience supporting kindergarten-age children is considered an asset.

Security and Safety

Criminal record check may be required.
Employment references may be required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The position may be physically demanding and may require bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing for extended periods, walking, performing repetitive tasks, and handling weight of up to 23 kg.

Personal Suitability

The successful candidate must be punctual, dependable, patient, honest, reliable, organized, flexible, and client-focused. The candidate must have good judgment, strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to work respectfully in a private home setting.
