Job Description
Staybridge Suites DC LTD is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Light Duty Cleaners to join their team and assist in overseeing the daily operations of our hotel and restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is looking to grow with a reputable organization in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
Job Duties
• Sweep, mop, wash, wax, and polish floors in guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture in guest suites and public spaces.
• Make beds, change linens, and restock rooms with clean towels, toiletries, and other amenities.
• Respond promptly to guests’ requests for additional supplies or housekeeping services.
• Maintain and stock housekeeping carts, linen closets, and supply rooms to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Clean and disinfect kitchenettes and bathrooms in guest suites, including sinks, toilets, showers, and appliances.
• Sanitize and polish high-touch surfaces and fixtures in public areas such as elevators, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Pick up debris, empty trash containers, and remove waste from guest rooms and common areas.
• Wash windows, walls, mirrors, and ceilings as scheduled or required.
• Report and log lost and found items in accordance with hotel policy and ensure secure storage.
• Provide basic information to guests about hotel facilities and services when needed.
• Communicate guest concerns or complaints to the appropriate department for resolution.
Employment requirements
• Completion of senior secondary education is considered an asset.
• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
Benefits
As per BC Employment Standards Act, 4acation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose).
