Work Location: 1381 Thornberg Crescent, Tofino, BC, V0R 2Z0 and various vacation rentals in Tofino and Ucluelet.

Job Description:

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Dust furniture

Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

Make beds and change sheets

Distribute clean towels and toiletries

Stock linen closet

Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances

Handle and report lost and found items

Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items

Wash windows, walls and ceilings

Pick up debris and empty trash containers

Clean and disinfect office and laundry area

Provide basic information on facilities

Launder clothing and household linens

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Clean rooms and showers

Address customers' complaints or concerns

Wash walls and baseboards

Check TVs are working, change batteries in remotes

Take out garbage and recycling

May drive to different locations

Requirements:

Education: Not required

Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

Valid driver’s license is an asset

Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail.

Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Language: English is required.

Salary: $20.00 per hour, 35 – 40 hours per week

Important Information. Flexibility on Schedule is required. The regular work schedule is 5 days per week, with two consecutive days off on a rotational basis, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Work on holidays and overtime may be required depending on the business needs. *We guarantee at least 30 hours of work per week regardless of the weather*
