Licensed Vocational Nurse Job

A Step to Freedom Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families facing social and economic challenges, is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. The LVN will play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to our clients in need, contributing to their well-being and overall health outcomes.

Responsibilities:
-Conduct patient assessments, including recording medical history and vital signs, to ensure accurate and comprehensive care.
-Assist clients with behavioral health needs, home community care, and case management under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
-Administer medications, perform treatments such as gastric lavage, and provide patient education on health management.
-Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
-Utilize eClinicalWorks or similar electronic medical records systems for accurate documentation and record-keeping.
-Participate in travel nursing assignments as needed to support clients in various settings, including Level II Trauma Centers.
-Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to established protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
-Demonstrate the ability to lift patients when necessary and handle inhalation procedures with proficiency.

Qualifications:
-Completion of an accredited LVN program and current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
-Experience in behavioral health, home community care, or related fields is preferred.
-Proficiency in patient assessment, case management, and medical record documentation.
-Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
-Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting patients and performing gastric lavage procedures.
