Job Description:
Gilpin Givhan, PC, is currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in our Commercial Real Estate and Tax practice groups. This role will provide expert administrative support in all aspects of commercial real estate and related business transactions.
Responsibilities:
Tracking status of commercial real estate and related business transactions work matters and communicating and coordinating daily with firm attorneys and personnel to manage and meet critical timelines and client expectations.
Managing all aspects of commercial real estate closings using available technology, including preparing closing documents; coordinating closing matters with buyers and sellers, attorneys, lenders and other transaction parties; managing escrow, funds flow and recordings; and timely delivering all closing and post-closing deliveries.
Coordinating title orders; reviewing title, surveys and other title information; preparing title commitments and title insurance policies; and participating in resolution of title matters with firm attorneys, title insurance underwriters, lenders and other parties.
Developing and maintaining expert-level proficiency with commercial real estate closing software and other key technologies.
Billing time daily for work on commercial real estate and related business transactions and other work matters.
Participating in preparing, reviewing and delivering purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, easements and other legal documents and information pertaining to commercial real estate and related business transactions.
Daily organizing and managing electronic and physical files, tracking key communications and providing general administrative support in regard to commercial real estate and related business transactions.
