Position Title: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: 175 Addison Rd, Entrance A, Windsor, CT 06095 and unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
Position Responsibilities: Design and develop a pilot PEM electrolyzer project. Control design aspect of cabinet ventilation system focusing on hoods, blowers, thermal fuses, and heaters. Lead design projects from conception to completion, including creating concepts, reviews, 3D models, detailed drawings, and prototypes for various mechanical components. Own SITE level and TOP level assemblies for entire project, ensuring proper assembly among various sub systems and maintenance, as per latest P&ID. Conduct tolerancing stack up analysis, GD&T, and stress-strain analysis for safety and reliability of designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project coordination and success.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, PLUS demonstrable knowledge of: CAD; Ansys; Fluent for CFD analysis; root cause analysis; lean manufacturing methodologies; Six Sigma, and; engineering change documentation. Required knowledge may be gained prior to or concurrently with Master’s degree. Travel to unanticipated client locations approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
