LEAD JUDO MARTIAL ARTS COACH

DCS Fitness and Martial Arts Ltd. dba Diaz Combat Sports is a leading martial arts training club specializing in Muay Thai training, mixed martial arts and combat conditioning.
DCS Fitness and Martial Arts Ltd is seeking candidates for placement as a Lead Judo Martial Arts Coach. There is one position available.
This is a full-time permanent position with primary responsibilities for instruction and training of club Martial Arts team members who are preparing for competitive events, and coaching of club Martial Arts team members in competitive events. Secondary responsibilities include training of club members in Judo Martial Arts. The location of employment is Vancouver, B.C., with national and international travel required as necessary for Club events. The language of work is English.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position responsibilities include;
• Preparing and developing Judo training sessions
• Developing club fighters’ abilities
• Planning training strategies for the Martial Arts competition program and
• Schedule competitive activities, schedules and programs.
• Traveling with club fighters as a coach for competitive events
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Candidates must have demonstrated ability in Judo, demonstrated competition experience at a high level (national or international competition level preferred) and demonstrated experience with instruction and training, including:
• Minimum 10 years history of involvement in Judo, including a minimum 1 year Judo competition experience at a high level of competition (national and international experience preferred)
• Minimum 5 years Judo instruction/training experience
English language ability sufficient for instruction purposes is required. The Salary is $60,320.00 annually based on a 40-hour work week ($29.00 hourly).
Benefits include vacation/overtime as per BC employment law and travel costs and expenses as necessary for duties related to club travel.
