We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Lead Dental Assistant to take a leadership role within our clinical team and support the effective coordination of our dental assisting operations.

The ideal candidate will combine strong dental assisting experience with the ability to guide, support, and coordinate other dental assistants, helping ensure that daily clinical activities are performed efficiently and consistently.
This position is well suited to a dental assistant who demonstrates leadership, accountability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support the performance and development of the dental assisting team.

Job Description:
Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist the dentist during examinations and dental treatments.
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
Prepare dental instruments, fillings, compounds and various dental materials.
Take and develop X-rays.
Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant.
Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
Educate patients concerning oral hygiene.
Perform clerical duties such as prepare invoices, process payments, schedule patient appointments, record dental procedures performed and order dental and office supplies.
Perform intra-oral duties such as remove sutures, take and record vital signs, apply desensitizing agents, topical anesthetic, anticariogenic agents and coronal whitening, fabricate, place, and remove temporary crowns and restorations, and apply and remove rubber dams.
May also perform pulp vitality testing as well as periodontal screening and recording.
Coordinate and oversee the daily workflow and task assignments of the dental service team to ensure efficient clinical operations.
Provide guidance, training, and support to dental assistants, including assisting with the onboarding of new team members.
Monitor compliance with clinic procedures, infection prevention and control standards, and proper preparation and maintenance of treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications:
Completion of an eight-month to one-year college or other approved program in dental assisting, or completion of secondary school with on-the-job training.
Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) is required.
At least one year of experience as a Lead Dental Assistant.
