Lead Acoustical Ceiling Installer (NOC 73102) Job

Westcoast Tbar Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lead Acoustical Ceiling Installer to join our growing team. We specialize in the planning and installation of soundproofing and noise-reduction solutions for commercial and residential spaces. Wage: $36.60 per hour + extended health benefits

Requirements:
Experience: 2-3 years in acoustical ceiling installation
Language: Good English
Education: Secondary school completion

Main duties:
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials for acoustical ceiling installation
- Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place acoustical ceiling tiles and panels
- Install hangers, fasteners, metal studs, and support systems for ceilings
- Fit and secure ceiling panels around lights, vents, and other fixtures
- Fill joints, holes, and gaps with compound and finish seams as needed
- Install insulation to improve soundproofing and energy efficiency
- Repair or replace damaged ceiling sections (suspended, drywall, plaster)
- Follow blueprints, layout drawings, and work orders
- Ensure work meets safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Use and maintain hand and power tools and keep a clean worksite
- Provide guidance and on-site direction to junior installers to ensure proper installation techniques and workflow
