Laundry Attendant Job

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and textiles are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be efficient, organized, and able to handle repetitive tasks with consistency and care. In some settings, the Laundry Attendant may also interact with guests or customers, delivering a high level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations:
Operate commercial washers and dryers efficiently by loading, unloading, and selecting proper cycles for different types of laundry items.

Stain Identification & Treatment:
Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and apply appropriate stain removal techniques before washing.

Folding, Ironing, & Finishing:
Fold, sort, and iron laundered items according to quality standards, preparing them for storage or delivery.

Equipment Care & Maintenance:
Monitor machine performance, clean filters, and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to management promptly.

Work Area Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by sweeping, mopping, and restocking laundry supplies as needed.

Inventory Support:
Track linen inventory levels, notify management of shortages, and help with restocking clean laundry.

Customer Service (if applicable):
Assist guests or customers with laundry services, provide clear information on pricing and timelines, and handle concerns or requests professionally.

Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment preferred

Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment is a plus

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific procedures

Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry loads (up to 50 lbs)

Good time management and organizational skills

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Customer service skills (for guest-facing roles)
