Position Info:
• Position: Daycare Supervisor
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 101-335 Carnarvon St, New Westminster, BC V3L 1B9

Job Duties:
• Assess and monitor each child’s developmental progress to design and implement individualized learning plans
• Develop and oversee child care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children
• Supervise and provide guidance to staff, trainees, and volunteers to ensure quality program delivery and compliance with policies
• Plan and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment that supports the well-being and security of children
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and organizational standards
• Conduct observations of children’s behaviour and development, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, and relevant stakeholders
• Lead and coordinate activities that encourage creativity, self-expression, and social interaction through art, music, storytelling, and play
• Establish and enforce guidelines for positive behaviour and conflict resolution
• Organize and facilitate staff meetings to discuss program effectiveness, child progress, and areas for improvement
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with parents, co-workers, and community service providers to support children’s needs
• Plan and coordinate activities for school-age children during before- and after-school care programs

Job requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E. Certificate, IT/Special Needs Certificate
• Language: English
