Laugh and Learn Children Centre is seeking a F/T Early Childhood Educator Job

Position Info:
o Position: Early Childhood Educator
o Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
o Wage: $26.00~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)
o Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
o Number of Positions: 1
o Work Location: 101 – 335 Carnarvon Street, New Westminster, BC V3L 1B9

Benefits:
o 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:
o Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
o Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
o Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
o Guide children the development of healthy eating, proper dressing and toilet habits
o Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
o Maintain an environment to protect health, security and well-being of children
o Co-ordinate and supervise activities of other ECE teachers, ECE assistants and volunteers
o Prepare reports for parents or supervisor regarding potential learning or behavioral problems
o Establish guidelines for behavior at the team meeting, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
o Maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and any community service providers working with children

Job requirements:
o Language: English
o Experience: Experience is an asset
o Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
o Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
