Location of work: All over lower mainland with business based at 18459 56A Avenue Surrey BC Canada V3S 7E4

Advance City Landscaping and Cleaning Ltd. is urgently looking for 1 Landscaping supervisor to join their team. They works all over lower mainland year-round serving the needs of Landscaping.

As a Landscaping supervisor you are expected to:

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who maintain lawns, gardens, athletic fields, golf courses, cemeteries, parks, interior plantscapes and other landscaped areas
Tender bids on contracts for landscaping and grounds maintenance work
Plan and estimate the materials and labour requirements for individual contracts
Organize the planting and maintenance of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs and hedges and the construction and installation of fences, decks, patios, walkways and retaining walls
Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units
Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
Requisition supplies and materials
Maintain financial and personnel records
Hire staff and train workers in job duties and company policies
May manage operations of own company
May provide snow removal services during winter months
May perform the same duties as workers supervised

Skills Requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school is required or post secondary program in landscaping will be an asset.

• Work experience: Ideal candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in the landscaping or related field. We can train, if you have at least 1 year of experience in landscaping and some post secondary education in landscaping.
• Basic English is must for communication.

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions

Benefits

Position is entitled to receive 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period. Transportation to and from work location is provided free of cost in company vehicle.
