Landscaping Supervisor (NOC 82031) Job

Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team to maintain landscapes in various settings (strata or commercial) to a high standard
2. Perform and supervise various landscaping tasks, including lawn care, pruning, bedwork, pesticide application, and planting
3. Assess the health of lawns
4. Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases
5. Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other uses
6. Organize materials and supervise a team of up to 5 people
7. Set work schedules and procedures
8. Coordinate activities with other groups working on job sites
9. Resolve work-related problems
10. Provide training to group members and clients

Qualifications:
1. Expert knowledge of pruning and plant identification
2. Proficiency with landscaping tools and equipment
3. Exemplary leadership and mentorship abilities
4. Knowledge of pest identification and management
5. Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with a clear record
6. Experience in residential landscaping projects
7. Strong communication skills with clients and strata managers
8. College diploma in horticulture (or a related field) from a Canadian institution （equivalent）, or
Certification in landscaping and horticulture
