Tasks:
Lead a team of workers in a highly specialized aspect of our landscaping projects, including the installation, maintenance, and testing of heating cables for snow melting systems.
Read and interpret plans, welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and procedures. Participate in the landscaping of green spaces.
Rake and collect debris.
Transport and spread topsoil and other materials. Lay sod or spread seeds.
Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees. Repair and maintain equipment.
Clean machines and equipment.
Load, unload, and move products and materials, manually or using handling equipment. Monitor the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment.
Assist in the construction of landscaping projects.
Participate in: sod placement; grading (soil); tree planting; excavation or demolition; layered compaction using specialized equipment (vibrating plate, roller); installation of retaining walls in stacked blocks or reinforced concrete; installation of curbs and reinforcements to maintain structures in place; installation of anchored retaining structures (with geogrids or anchoring bars); formwork and pouring of concrete for stairs or platforms; and cutting custom pavers or blocks (sawing, grinding).
Collaborate in other tasks to clean and maintain landscaped environments, the workshop, and equipment.

Education: Secondary school is required
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related experience in positions involving gardening, landscaping, green area maintenance, or other outdoor manual labour is required. If the candidate does not have the required experience, a two- to three-year college diploma in agronomy, arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, landscape design, or landscape techniques is required.
Driver’s license is a strong asset
Work in various weather conditions is required.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Attention to detail; Tight deadlines; Sitting, standing, and walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Work under pressure; Manual dexterity; Standing for extended periods; Repetitive tasks; Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads.

During the winter period (between December 15 and April 15), the workweek will be a minimum of 30 hours. Overtime may be required. The candidate will be entitled to a weekly rest period of at least 32 consecutive hours.
