Job Description:
Symbiotic Landscapes Inc. is seeking a Landscape Designer with supervisor skills for our enhancements division. This is a full-time, year-round position starting in March 2026. The position is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. The wage is $35.00 - $37.00 per hour (depending on experience), paid semi-weekly. We offer an employee benefit plan that includes extended health, Dental and Life Insurance available after 3 months with the company.

You will be expected to perform the following duties:
• Design multi-family residential and commercial landscape projects, including plant selection and layout, hardscape layouts, and outdoor feature concepts, based on client needs, site conditions, and budget.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing landscapes, soil conditions, drainage, sunlight exposure, and access for equipment and crews.
• Prepare landscape drawings, layouts, and material specifications for enhancement projects.
• Oversee multiple job sites simultaneously to ensure projects are completed according to design, timeline, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Supervise and coordinate landscaping crews, including assigning daily tasks, monitoring productivity, and providing technical guidance on design execution.
• Perform hands-on landscaping work when required, including planting, soil preparation, installation of hardscape features, mulching, pruning, and site clean-up, to support crews and ensure designs are executed correctly.
• Communicate with clients throughout the project to confirm design details, handle change requests, and ensure overall satisfaction.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to order plants, materials, and equipment required for enhancement projects.
• Complete project administration tasks such as updating job files, maintaining project records, and assisting with estimates and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety standards, and local regulations on all job sites

• Completion of a college-level diploma in Landscape Design, Horticulture, or a related field;
• 3 years of experience as a Landscape Technician, Landscaping Supervisor, or in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team-lead role;
• Experience with design software such as CAD or similar landscape design tools;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills;
• Professional, presentable, and reliable with a strong work ethic;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Proficiency with landscape management software platforms (e.g., LMN, Salus, or similar industry-standard tools);
• Experience building and managing quotes within landscape management systems;
• Demonstrated ability to track project timelines, budgets, and labor costs using project management software.
