Laboratory Technician Job

- Maintain a safe and efficient work area at all times
- Set up, operate and maintain laboratory instruments
- Perform simple laboratory analyses including the use of pH meter, oven, muffle, HPLC and other laboratory equipment following written analytical procedures and work instructions
- Clean laboratory glassware and non-disposable items according to laboratory policies and procedures
- Perform sample preparation
- Monitor, observe and promptly communicate any unusual or unexpected results
- Responsible for the quality and food safety
- Responsible to report animal food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

- Must have basic chemical principles and has had some laboratory experience
- Ability to perform calculations involving the application of basic mathematics
- Must have prior experience and understanding of working safely with chemicals in a lab environment
- Ability to work independently and responsibly when running various tests
- Must have the ability to document and record results clearly and accurately
- Thorough understanding of laboratory safety procedures
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work assignments and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication in English | Spanish is an advantage
